A recent clinical study has reportedly demonstrated Abyss Ingredients’ Cartidyss marine collagen can have a significant beneficial effect on mobility and joint pain.

Senior nutrition (food supplements and functional food) dedicated to bone & joint health represents a $14.2 bn market, while the global bone & joint ingredients segment is projected to grow at a CAGR of + 6.3% from 2019-2024.

Bone and joint care is a global and growing concern, Abyss says. Arthritis and joint diseases severely impact quality of life: pain brings sleeping disorders, limits mobility and avoids normal physical, professional and social activities.

Abyss Ingredients led an exploratory clinical study to evaluate the effects of its ingredient on mobility and joint pain. The first study was done for 3 months, on thirty patients aged 64, and demonstrated at 1g/day, the ingredient significantly improved mobility, reduced pain and improved quality of life, the company claims.
